Relaxing Spa Massasge/ Swedish-American Massage – The
practitioner applies appropriate pressure to muscle groups to
facilitate relaxation of soft tissues in order to allow proper nerve
condition, lymphatic drainage, and blood circulation, and for
normalization of muscle tissue.
Deep Tissue Massage – Injury, repetitive use, chronic tension
and stress can cause soft tissue (e.g. Muscles, tendons, and
ligaments) to form adhesions and knots that then become
inflexible. Application of pressure to the area of concern will allow
the tissue to heal and function in a normal fashion.
Myofacial Release – A technique that seeks to relieve tension of
connective tissue, thus restoring normal alignment and function
while reducing pain. Mild, sustained pressure is applied to gently
stretch and soften the muscles and tissues of ailing body parts.
Geriatric Massage – A gentle therapy for the elderly that
increases circulation, helps drain the lymphatic system, increases
the production of helper T-cells (cells in the blood which enhance
the immune system), aids in the production of endorphins (neural
pain blockers), helps prevent muscular atrophy, and promotes a
sense of relaxation and wellbeing.
